Landscapes

Landscapes are plein-air sketches, or referenced from photos. Ballpoint and micron pens in small sketchbook pages are preferred tools for their portability. The optical effects of foliage in changing weather conditions and time of day make each drawing singular, even when the same location appears in a series. Forests of North Carolina, tree species of the east coast, and seasonal atmosphere are cherished and revisited subjects of landscape drawings.
